Peaceful Slumber

with 3 Comments

This post has the very first 2 pictures I made with Delta 3200. These two images were shot and developed at ISO 1600. I love the grain. There is just something about black and white film images that are mesmerizing. The picture below was the very first image I saw from this roll. I was transfixed on it for several minutes before moving on to the rest. I love the peaceful expressions. I will definitely make a print of this one and probably the second one, too.

Well, the one thing that was not peaceful was the “Cla Clunk” of the shutter. This created enough disturbance to awaken my wife and youngest son from their peaceful slumber.

These turned out better than expected. I thought the grain would be too intrusive, but it wasn’t at all. This film will come in handy for those indoors portraits and any situation where the light is not abundant. I must keep in mind that this is medium format. I will have to give it a run in the 35mm format.
