I am down to my last few images from my first ever roll of Ilford HP5 Plus 400. If you have not seen the images in my last 4 posts, please take a look. I would love to hear your feedback on the images. Overall, I like HP5 Plus 400. The grain structure is a bit different than Kodak TRI-X 400, but for certain images it works out great. My foggy cityscape pictures come to mind. You can see those here. I really like the look of those photographs with HP5. I need to shoot HP5 in medium format before I can conclude what my uses of this film would be. At this stage, I am leaning toward TRI-X 400 as my default street photography film. The grain in TRI-X appears to be a touch finer. Ultimately, you can’t go wrong with either film.
The shots in this post are the remaining images that did not fall into the categories of my last 4 posts. These were taken in Nashville during the NCAA Tournament. It was a fun day to be out on the streets of Nashville. I hope you enjoy the images!
Photographing the Photographer
Strength in Numbers
Thanks for reading! I won’t have any more film images to post for a while as I am in the middle of another film project. With this endeavor, I am experimenting with pushing TRI-X 400 to 1600. These shots will also feature Nashville. I hope they turnout so I will have something to post. Stay Tuned!
